A CDFA® has been certified through the Institute of Divorce Financial Analysts and has years of experience in divorce financial matters. Peg Lutz has held this designation since 2010 and along with her team, advises individuals and couples through the money matters of divorce.
Perhaps the most complicated aspect of divorce is determining how to divide assets like real estate, retirement accounts, and investments. Our goal is to divide these assets in a fair and equitable manner, with the goal being that each party feels they were treated fairly. We focus on today’s needs, and perhaps more importantly, look forward at how these decisions will affect your entire life. While we do not give legal advice, we are happy to work with attorneys on the financial aspects of divorce, as this is not normally an area of expertise for a legal representative or attorney.
Financial matters are often one of the more stressful and complicated components in divorce. If you are considering a divorce or are in the middle of a divorce, we strongly encourage you to seek advice before any decisions are made. Once a judgement is finalized, there are no “do overs.”
